Alumnae Association of the Ottawa Civic Hospital School of Nursing

The Alumnae Association of the Ottawa Civic Hospital School of Nursing is an organization representing 4270 Nurses who graduated from the school between 1925 and 1974.

The Alumnae Association remains very active and coordinates the following:  a biannual newsletter “Spokes Speak”, address records of all O.C.H. graduates, an annual reunion banquet and tea during the first weekend of June, an annual fall dinner in late October, educational funding for workshops or conferences, and maintenance of the O.C.H. School of Nursing Archives.

We have chapters of the Alumnae in other areas including Edmonton; the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia; Sudbury, London and Toronto.

Regrettably, most Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae have had to disband.  However, our Alumnae Association remains strong due to continued member support.  Membership is only $10.00 per year.  When dues have been paid for 25 years, a life membership is granted and there is no further obligation to pay dues.
