Update: News Release

UDPATE:
We can confirm that all three patients involved in today’s incident have been discharged. We wish them a speedy recovery.
The hospital remains on alert and is not encouraging non-essential visitors at this time.

October 22, 2014 — Following today’s events, if you visit The Ottawa Hospital tonight, please use these entrances at the Civic and General campuses:

General Campus:

  • Main entrance
  • Critical Care Wing entrance

Civic Campus:

  • Paterson entrance

As of 4 p.m., all other entrances will be locked until the situation is resolved.

We can confirm that The Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus received four patients. They arrived at the hospital at 10:20 a.m., 10:37 a.m., 12:05 p.m., and 12:43 p.m.

All inquiries about the first patient should be directed to the Department of National Defence. Apart from first patient, they had minor, non-life threatening injuries and remain in hospital at this time.
