The Ottawa Hospital takes steps to optimize parking for patients and visitors

June 2, 2015 – The Ottawa Hospital is looking for ways to optimize its parking lots to ensure that patients and visitors have easy access to parking. To this end, the Hospital has put out a Request for Proposals for a 1-year pilot project for parking service lot management (jockey and/or valet services).

The Hospital hopes to find a suitable partner who will develop an innovative way to improve the patient experience by providing patients and visitors with timely access to parking given the limited number of on-site parking spots available.

The Ottawa Hospital has no plans to increase the current parking rates for patients and visitors, which are among the lowest in Ottawa.  Any revenue generated as a result of this new parking project would be used to recover the third-party costs associated with it. As always, any further profits gained from parking would go towards the purchase medical equipment and new technologies that help the Hospital better serve its patients who come for acute care.

This new parking initiative is another way The Ottawa Hospital is committed to providing patients with exceptional service and high-quality care.
