The Ottawa Hospital recognized as one of the ‘World’s best hospitals – Canada’

The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is thrilled to be named one of the World’s Best Hospitals by Newsweek, placing 11th in Canada by their ranking. Newsweek notes that what sets the best hospitals apart is “their continued ability to deliver the highest-quality patient care and conduct critical medical research even as they focused on battling COVID.”

This honour reflects the tireless efforts shown by TOH staff, physicians, and volunteers. Over the last two years, they have had their personal and professional lives changed by the unpredictable COVID-19 pandemic. Those working on the frontlines have picked up extra shifts, canceled vacation time, and adapted their workflows. Despite these challenges, delivering high-quality patient care has remained an unwavering priority.

“The Ottawa Hospital’s rank is a testament to our staff, physicians, and volunteers who have demonstrated resilience, dedication, and continued compassion for our patients throughout this pandemic,” said Cameron Love, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital.

Thank you to all those at The Ottawa Hospital who played a role in making this happen.

The Ottawa Hospital is one of Canada’s top learning and research hospitals, where excellent care is inspired by research and driven by compassion. As the third-largest employer in Ottawa, our support staff, researchers, nurses, physicians, and volunteers never stop seeking solutions to the most complex health-care challenges.
