September 18, 2015 – Earlier this year, as part of our internal control plan, we performed a risk assessment and we identified grounds for concern in some work done by the Facilities and Planning Department and we launched an investigation which is currently underway.

As a critical and respected public institution in our community, we hold ourselves accountable to a high standard in how we conduct our business and in how we manage issues that arise.  We have controls in place to guide actions and behaviours of our staff and the organization as a whole.  These mechanisms enable us to identify any concerns and take immediate action.

The investigation is ongoing, and as such, we cannot provide further details on findings or decisions at this time in order to respect the integrity of the process currently underway, and to protect the privacy of the individuals involved.
