The Ottawa Hospital is pleased to welcome Marc Jolicoeur and Khalil Shariff to the Board of Governors

The Ottawa Hospital is pleased to welcome Marc Jolicoeur and Khalil Shariff to the Board of Governors. Their appointment comes after a robust nomination process undertaken by the board

Mr. Jolicoeur and Mr. Shariff both come to the board with extensive experience in the private and public sectors and have served in leadership roles on the boards of several other high-profile organizations.

Their integrity, creativity and commitment to serving the community will help the hospital continue its forward momentum toward transforming health care and building a 21st century hospital. The board looks forward to working with these two new governors.

I also want to recognize and bid a fond farewell to two other governors who will be leaving the board and moving on.

Patricia Kosseim served on The Ottawa Hospital’s board for seven years and was also Chair of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute’s Board from 2016 to 2020. Jamie McCracken served on the hospital’s board for nine years and was Chair of the board from 2014 to 2017. Thank you both very much for your commitment and dedication. Your contributions to governance have helped to strengthen the hospital.

The role of the volunteer Board of Governors is to provide important strategic leadership and oversight of The Ottawa Hospital on behalf of the community. As such, it is committed to working with the hospital’s leadership team to support and advance the hospital’s mandate through excellence in patient care, research and education.
