The Ottawa Hospital honoured for workplace excellence

Hospital recognized with Hire Immigrants Ottawa Employer Excellence Award and National Capital Region’s Top Employer Award

OTTAWA – (March 12, 2019) – The Ottawa Hospital has been recognized for its work in helping new Canadians find meaningful employment, along with providing a competitive, supportive and collaborative work environment for all staff. The hospital received the Employer Excellence Award from Hire Immigrants Ottawa, as well as the National Capital Region’s Top Employers Award.

The Employer Excellence Awards from Hire Immigrants Ottawa recognizes local employers for their innovative workplace policies and practices around the recruitment and integration of skilled immigrant employees into their organization. The Ottawa Hospital officially received the award today at the Employer Council of Champions Summit.

National Capital Region’s Top Employers is an annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. The award recognizes employers in the Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area that offer an exceptional place to work and the most progressive programs compared to other organizations in their field. The Ottawa Hospital was recognized for its commitment to staff health and wellness, dedication towards career development and education, and assistance in retirement planning.
