The Ottawa Hospital will be completely smoke-free in 2018

Beginning in January 2018, The Ottawa Hospital will no longer allow smoking anywhere on its three campuses.

The Ottawa Hospital is committed to building healthier communities and to fostering a healthy, safe workplace. Providing smoke-free spaces for our patients, visitors, and staff will support our efforts to achieve these goals.

An amendment to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act requires all hospitals and long-term care homes property across the province to be completely smoke-free by January 2018.
