OTTAWA – Feb. 1, 2018 – The Ottawa Hospital has been recognized as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers. This annual award recognizes employers in the Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area that offer an exceptional place to work and the most progressive programs compared to other organizations in their field.

National Capital Region’s Top Employers evaluates organizations on a number of criteria for employee wellness, satisfaction and support. The Ottawa Hospital was recognized for the many HR programs and initiatives available to employees, including retirement and savings assistance, career development opportunities, and health and wellness promotion.
The Ottawa Hospital is dedicated to continuing to make the organization the best it can be, by constantly evolving an integrated focus on the entire employee experience, as well as bringing together HR and management practices and initiatives so that it keeps making the staff experience better.

National Capital Region’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Canada’s annual Top 100 Employers competition invited 12,500 employers across Canada to apply with the aim to identify organizations that lead their industries in HR practices and to recognize the nation’s best places to work. As top employers, recipients were identified as leaders in their field for the following criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
