COVID-19 fourth dose for immunocompromised patients

Based on the recommendation of the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Ontario, moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals, including transplant recipients, are eligible for a booster dose (fourth dose) of the extended COVID-19 primary vaccine series.

For more detailed information, please refer to Ontario Ministry of Health Recommendations.

Those who are eligible will receive a letter confirming their eligibility, with more details on how to book an appointment.

For more information about the vaccine centres available in your area, please consult your local public health unit:

It is advised that those eligible receive a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 84 days (three months) after their third dose as recommended by provincial public health guidelines.

If you have any questions about your eligibility for a COVID-19 vaccination, please contact your provider or clinic.
