May 3, 2013 – Accreditation Canada Surveyors will be onsite and visiting all campuses of The Ottawa Hospital.
What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a process whereby the systems and services of an organization such as The Ottawa Hospital are evaluated and rated based on standards that reflect best practices. Accreditation Canada is the organization that conducts these types of surveys in health-care institutions throughout Canada.
Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum program is ongoing with a surveyor site visit every four years. Being accredited demonstrates the organization’s commitment to continuous improvement and a high level of performance.
