We also offer a variety of group classes to patients who are being cared for by an endocrinologist at our centre.

Type 1 Diabetes Group

• Learn more about living with type 1 diabetes
• Offered 08:30 am to 3:00 pm, every 2 months

Adjusting Your Insulin

• Learn how to adjust your insulin for better blood sugar control
• Thursday am or pm, monthly for 3 hours

Exercise

• Tips to help you manage your blood sugar for intense exercise
• How to prepare for a race, your hockey season or a sports event
• Offered every 2 months for 2 hours

Is an Insulin Pump Right for You?

• Learn about insulin pumps and if a pump could work for you
• Learn about the pump models available
• Find out if you qualify for a government grant for the cost of the pump and supplies
• Offered monthly, am or pm for 2 hours

Sick Day and Travel

• Learn how to manage your blood sugar when you are sick
• Learn how manage your blood sugar when you travel across time zones
• Offered every 2 months for 2 hours
