We provide formal teaching for physicians-in-training, practicing physicians and allied health-care providers locally, nationally and internationally. The Respirology curriculum of the undergraduate medicine program of the University of Ottawa is primarily taught by members of the division.

Monthly Pneumoclub evenings generally bring speakers from outside of the division to lend expertise. Strong ties with the Department of Respirology and Critical Care at Queen’s University are fostered with yearly joint Kingston-Ottawa Pneumoclubs.

Online Education

Online Education presentations in Respiratory Protocols are available on the Institute for Rehabilitation Research and Development’s Web site.

Resident Training Program

The Division of Respirology has an active resident training program, and a formalized schedule of teaching rounds, including Resident Half-day, Morbidity and Mortality rounds, Research-in-Progress, ‘Pizza Rounds’ (with Pathology, Radiology and Thoracic Surgery) and weekly Tumour Board (with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Thoracic Surgery, Pathology and Radiology).
