Dianne Scharf has been the Internal Auditor at The Ottawa Hospital since 2020. Reporting to the Board of Governors, Dianne is responsible for leading and directing internal audit functions and providing independent and objective assurance and advisory services that add value and support The Ottawa Hospital in achieving its strategic objectives.

Dianne is a dynamic, passionate, and result-oriented leader with a wide range of experience. Her strong interpersonal skills foster collaborative relationships working in partnership with stakeholders and recognized as a trusted advisor. Under Dianne’s leadership, Internal Audit aims to deliver high quality and value-added assurance and advisory services that assist management in achieving its strategic goals and initiatives. Functioning as a valuable resource and catalyst for transformation, Internal Audit contributes to continuous improvements in operations, governance, risk management and internal control processes.

Dianne brings more than 20 years of knowledge and experience in internal audit, risk management and advisory services. A graduate from Carleton University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) program, Dianne has acquired further credentials to hone her craft, including: Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Information Systems Auditor designations.

In her personal life, Dianne enjoys spending time reading crime and mystery novels, learning new skills, solving jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family.
