Nurses take a strong role in advocating for system and health-care improvements, and that’s why this year’s Nursing Week theme celebrates them as leading forces for change.
Nurses drive key projects and initiatives, showing continued dedication to providing evidence-based care to our patients. Many nurses continue their education, attend education days and participate in research and work groups. These examples demonstrate nurses’ commitment to providing world-class care.
“I feel proud when I learn of nurse-led initiatives at TOH aimed at incorporating new research and standards of care,” said Dr. Jack Kitts, TOH President and CEO. “Our nurses are making important changes for patient care.”
Nurses play a key role in successfully implementing change initiatives, from technological innovations to medical advancements. This Nursing Week – from May 12 to 16 at TOH – thank a nurse, and celebrate the contributions of nurses in every aspect of health care.
