The Ottawa Hospital is experiencing increased pressures on both Emergency Departments and ambulance offload processes. This is primarily due to COVID-19 outbreaks, combined with staffing shortages related to COVID-19 illness or exposure. The hospital is adapting to these pressures to ensure that patients receive the care they need.  

If you need emergency care, you should continue to come to the Emergency Department. Patients will be triaged based on severity of illness/injury, and some patients may experience longer than usual wait times.
