Starting Monday, December 4, 2023, work to prepare for eventual construction at the Riverside Campus will begin in Parking Lot B. This work is to prepare the site for the construction of the Schlegel Village property, slated to begin in 2024.

This site preparation will involve services and utilities relocation including Hydro and Enbridge Gas, which will require some tree removal. The preparation is expected to finish by December 21, 2023, and will be contained to the southeast side of Lot B. Roads and access will not be affected during this phase.

There will be intermittent parking interruptions during this phase, and staff parking pass holders are encouraged to park closer to the north end of the lot. 

For more details on tree removal, a tree conservation report is included in the City of Ottawa site plan application. This site work will be around the tree area labeled A2 in the report.
