Hwy 417 at Kent St. closed Oct. 23 weekend

October 22, 2015 A section of Highway 417 will be closed in both directions starting on Friday, Oct. 23 at 11 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25. This closure is required by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario to replace the Kent Street bridges.
The eastbound off-ramp at Kent Street will remain closed until the end of December as part of the construction project.

The Parkdale Avenue and Carling Avenue on-ramps to the 417 eastbound will also be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 to midnight Sunday, Oct. 25. The O’Connor Street on-ramp to the 417 westbound will be closed from Wednesday, Oct. 21 until Monday, Oct. 26.

The City of Ottawa advises the public to plan all trips well in advance because significant delays are expected during the closure. There are many other transportation options, including OC Transpo, carpooling and using alternative forms of transportation to get around the city while this closure is in place.
