October 2, 2014 — On the afternoon of Saturday, October 4, lanes on Highway 417 will be closed in stages in the vicinity of the Vanier Parkway, leading to a full closure of both the eastbound and westbound lanes to allow for the placement of the new Vanier Parkway overpass.

Lane reductions on Highway 417 will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The highway will be fully closed to through traffic between 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Full reopening of all lanes will occur by 5 a.m. on Monday, October 6.

During the weekend, access to the following on-ramps will be restricted:

On-going until Monday, October 6 at 6 a.m.
The Vanier Parkway southbound on-ramp to Highway 417 eastbound will be closed.

Saturday, October 4 at noon until Sunday, October 5 at 3 p.m.
The Vanier Parkway southbound on-ramp to Highway 417 westbound will be closed to southbound traffic at Coventry Road.

Saturday, October 4 at 4 p.m. until Sunday, October 5 at noon
The Riverside Drive northbound on-ramp to Highway 417 eastbound will be closed to northbound traffic at Tremblay Road.

Saturday, October 4 at 4 p.m. until Monday, October 6 at 6 a.m.
The Riverside Drive northbound on-ramp to Highway 417 westbound will be closed.

Eastbound traffic on Highway 417 will be detoured via the Vanier Parkway off-ramp (Exit 117) to the Vanier Parkway on-ramp where they may again access Highway 417 to continue travelling eastbound.

Westbound traffic on Highway 417 will be detoured via the Vanier Parkway off-ramp (Exit 117) to the Vanier Parkway on-ramp where they may again access Highway 417 to continue travelling westbound.

From 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 4 until 6 a.m. on Monday, October 6, the following closures will be in effect:

• Vanier Parkway will be closed to southbound traffic between Coventry Road and Tremblay Road.
• Riverside Drive will be closed to all northbound traffic between Tremblay Road and the Highway 417 westbound off-ramp.
• Riverside Drive will be reduced to one northbound lane between Industrial Avenue and Tremblay Road with access to Tremblay Road only.
• Vanier Parkway and Riverside Drive will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists between Tremblay Road and Coventry Road.

Signed detours will be in place for these closures.
