The Ottawa Hospital and Regional Hepatitis Program

Welcome to The Ottawa Hospital and Regional Hepatitis Program.  We are dedicated to treating patients who are at high risk of, or have been diagnosed with, viral hepatitis B and hepatitis C, using a mix of in-hospital, community and virtual clinics.

Who we are

Dr. Curtis Cooper leads a dedicated team of nurses, social workers, psychologists and specialists in hepatology, infectious diseases and internal medicine who work together to create a treatment plan just for you.

How we help

In addition to the hands-on support at the hospital, we partner with community health centres, public health units and local health-care providers to ensure each patient in our program receives world-class care that is easy to access and judgement-free.

Virtual clinics

Patients who live outside Ottawa and Nunavut, or who don’t have local access to viral hepatitis care, can access our program through virtual clinics hosted by the Ontario Telemedicine Network. Dr. Sarah Mansour, a specialist in infectious diseases, and a nurse are dedicated to this program.

How to access the program

A referral to the Regional Hepatitis Program from a doctor is preferred, but patients can also call the program coordinator to see if it is right for them.
