Your admission to The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre can be arranged at the request of your physician. A referral is required to be assessed and to enter our treatment programs.
- For referrals to in-patient Brain Injury, Neuromuscular/Spinal or Complex Orthopedic rehabilitation, follow the steps in our instructions document and fill out the provincial RM&R referral form.
- For referrals to all other TRC programs, select the program-specific options on Our Programs and Services page.
Each patient awaiting inpatient admission undergoes an assessment by a rehabilitation nurse or rehabilitation physician to determine if the unit can help your specific needs and the attainment of your personal rehabilitation goals. The rehabilitation physician will provide you with specific instructions in preparation for your inpatient stay.
If a patient is on the waiting list for either TOHRC’s inpatient or outpatient services, they will be contacted as soon as a bed or space is available and an admission date can be set.
