Dr. Swapnil Hiremath

Swapnil Hiremath, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa (since July 2007) and also an Associate Investigator in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.

His medical education has been at the University of Mumbai and the University of Ottawa. He also has a Master in Public Health (MPH) from the Harvard School of Public Health and certification from the American Society of Hypertension as a Specialist in Hypertension.

His primary research interest is in using systematic reviews and decision-analytic modelling to improve care for patients with hypertension, chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis and patients with acute kidney injury.
