Extension to testing for new steam boiler at The Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus

Construction is ongoing on the central heating plant at The Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus. The heating plant is located at the rear of the campus on Ruskin St. at MacFarlane Ave.  

Testing for new steam boiler: Friday, March 27. Starting back Monday, March 30 to April 3 (weekdays only, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.) 

Testing of a new steam boiler in the Civic Campus central heating plant will involve intermittent release of high-pressure steam at a safe height above the heating plant. The steam releases will briefly elevate noise levels and will be visible from nearby buildings.  

We appreciate your understanding as we perform this necessary maintenance work at the hospital.
