Ages Cancer Assessment Clinic
Overview:
The Ages Cancer Assessment Clinic (CAC) provides comprehensive services for those undergoing assessment and diagnosis of lung, esophageal, colorectal, or prostate cancers.
At the CAC, we will provide you with access to a team of dedicated health-care professionals who will work together to ensure your assessments, diagnostics, and necessary referrals are coordinated as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
Our Services:
We will:
- Provide you and your family with psychosocial support, counseling, and education related to the diagnostic process
- Coordinate your diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies
- Diagnose and stage your cancer
- Provide you with access to group and individual education sessions
- Assist you with smoking cessation (as required)
- Provide you with access to pain and symptom management services
- Provide you with a drug therapy consultation with medical oncologists (as required)
- Provide you with a radiotherapy consultation with radiation oncologists (as required)
Our Team:
The dedicated team working in the CAC includes general surgeons, thoracic surgeons, urologists, respirologists, a family physician, respiratory therapists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, ultrasound technologists, nurses, social workers, dieticians, clerical staff, and volunteers.
