Salary Range
$125,215.35 to $152,337.90/year
Position Information
The Manager of Environmental Services manages the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department, providing leadership to staff and ensuring TOH standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the Hospital. The Manager is responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and budgetary oversight of the department.
What you will bring
- University Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field;
- Five (5) years of experience in the field of healthcare, environmental services, or support services;
- Three (3) years of leadership experience;
- Knowledge of the hospital environment;
- Knowledge of current trends and legislation in the industry such as Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, PIDAC, and applicable Regulations and Standards;
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials in the handling of spills and contamination, with training on related equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus.;
- Technical knowledge of Environmental Services procedures, technology, and equipment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent planning, organizational and presentation skills;
- High degree of initiative and analytical skills;
- Evaluation skills relating to teaching and training acquired by education and experience;
- Computer applications such as PRAM, electronic staffing & scheduling, Oracle, SharePoint, MS Office, and E-Mail communications;
- Knowledge of accounting and budget principles and processes.
