Salary Range

$128,971.05 to $156,908.70/annum

Position Information    

Manager, Mechanical Systems is responsible for the management of the administrative and operational activities of the mechanical maintenance section, within the Facilities Management department at the General Campus.  This role is responsible the planning, organizing, coordinating and directing various aspects of the section to ensure effective, efficient operation while providing maximum reliability of the mechanical system and Building Control Centre for the site.

The Manager, Mechanical Systems will be integral to upholding the vision of the Hospital, to provide each patient with the world-class care, exceptional service and compassion that we would want for our loved ones.

What you will bring

  • First class Stationary Engineer or Licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or certified Engineering Technologist;
  • Five (5) years experience working in the mechanical field in a management or supervisory role on large scale operations;
  • Detailed knowledge in the operation of steam heating plants, multiple unit chiller plants, HVAC systems and the Honeywell EBI Building Automation System;
  • Thorough understanding of ASHRAE/CSA codes and standards, the Ontario Building Code and hospital policies and procedures;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, supervisory and management skills.

You will stand out with

  • Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
