Salary Range

$ 125,215.350 to $152,337.900 /year

Position Information

The Manager of Infection Prevention and Control will provide both leadership and content expertise related to IPAC within TOH. The manager of IPAC will work to proactively identify IPAC threats to the organization, develop and implement plans to respond to these and other IPAC issues, and mitigate IPAC risks. The manager must be able to critically assess urgent issues and guide a timely and appropriate response. The manager of IPAC will chair relevant committees and working groups associated with IPAC objectives and will work closely with internal stakeholders, the Director, and the Medical Director for IPAC to advance IPAC goals. The manager of IPAC will report organizationally on IPAC auditing, performance and key indicators. The IPAC manager will also oversee development of staff seeking to obtain relevant certifications.

What you will bring

  • Master’s Degree;
  • Regulated healthcare professional CIC certification;
  • Five (5) years of previous IPAC experience;
  • Three (3) years of previous leadership experience;
  • Expertise in Infection Prevention and Control standards and best practices;
  • Ability to work with numerous internal and external stakeholders, and with competing pressures, to achieve IPAC objectives;
  • Ability to summarize complex data and information into key messages for quality improvement and practice changes;
  • Ability to assess risk and prioritize direction for IPAC when multiple issues arise simultaneously.

You will stand out with

  • Demonstrated experience and certification in healthcare QI;
  • Experience and/or training in Principles of adult learning theory.
