Salary Range

$128,971.050 to $156,908.700/year

Position Information

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a high energy, flexible, dynamic business leader to join its team in an exciting opportunity to server as the Manager, Digital Human Capital Management Solutions to improve operational and strategic support of process and digital business solution delivery.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Business Solutions, the Manager will provide operational and strategic support of HR business systems and related processes.  The Manager will identify, facilitate and support Digital Solution needs as they specifically relate to process and or system application support, enhancements, implementations and upgrades necessary to continue to support and advance TOH as we go forward.  In parallel, the Manager will develop a collaborative partnership with the HR business owners and support them in developing digital strategies and tactics to meet their evolving business needs.

What you will bring

  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a business systems information systems position;
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience leading teams;
  • Extensive experience analyzing, implementing and managing business process and/or application solutions in a large, complex organization;
  • Experience implementing and managing numerous HCM application software/hardware platforms and operating systems;
  • Experience managing large scale HCM business application enhancements, application implementations and upgrades;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with supporting HCM business systems and users in a production environment;
  • Experience leading a team of developers, analysts, and administrators, and providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective operation of the HCM system;
  • Experience managing large teams of information systems professionals, external consultants, vendors and end users;
  • Knowledge of testing methods and cycles including quality assurance testing on business systems;
  • Experience developing and coordinating adoption and learning strategies for business systems;
  • Knowledge and experience using Applications Implementation Methodologies and Project Management Methodologies;
  • Experience in the preparation of project business cases, scope and objectives documents, budgets, resource capacity planning, project plans and status reports;
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the HCM applications;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to provide direction to others in managing competing priorities and balancing multiple tasks with often unpredictable and short deadlines;
  • Strong focus on customer service, teamwork and quality
  • Ability to successfully work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within a team or organization;
  • Experience with overseeing HR focus projects;
  • Excellent knowledge of HR business processes and needs;
  • Solid understanding of the functions of different departments (i.e. payroll, compensation  and HR) in order to support business requirements;
  • Significant experience in with HR systems.

  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level);.
  • Experience working in a Healthcare environment;
  • Experience working in a unionized environment;
  • Experience with Peoplesoft, Oracle, UKG Pro.
