Salary Range
$128,971.05 to $156,908.70/annum
Position Information
The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Manager, Clinical Services to join our team. This role involves overseeing clinical services with the NACU and Trauma units.
The Manager, Clinical Services provides effective and efficient delivery of clinical services to the patient population through the management of a multidisciplinary health care team. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and collaborating with various departments to enhance service delivery and excellence. In addition, this position fosters opportunities for professional development/growth of all staff, including students, within their department.
The Manager, Clinical Services promotes the delivery of evidence-based practice for clinical interventions through utilization of available research/research development and evaluation. This position will also foster an environment of interdisciplinary cooperation within the clinical program, in which they are consistent with a just culture and the values of The Ottawa Hospital.
What you will bring
- Baccalaureate Degree in a Health Profession, Health Administration or a related field;
- Registered Health Professional eligible to practice in Ontario;
- Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience in diverse positions in an acute care hospital setting;
- Progressive leadership experience;
- Strong leadership skills to support and provide direction to staff in a highly stressful and rapidly changing environment;
- Proven ability in working effectively with all members of health care team;
- Excellent oral/written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills;
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze fiscal patient care data;
- Knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures, relative legislation, collective agreements and standards of practices;
- Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient care;
- Knowledge and application of financial stewardship;
- Knowledge and application of various technologies;
- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration in a busy working environment.
You will stand out with
- Master’s Degree in a Management, Nursing or Administration related program;
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
