Salary Range

$125,215.35 to $152,337.90/annum

Position Information

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is seeking a high energy, flexible, and dynamic healthcare leader to join its team in an exciting opportunity to serve as a Manager, Cardiac Day Unit, PAU, Employee Scheduling Services.

What you will bring

  • Minimum four (4) year University Degree in a regulated Health Profession, Health Administration or a related field and Professional designation or equivalent;
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Allied Health Professional Designation;
  • Minimum five (5) years of healthcare experience in diverse positions in an acute care hospital setting;
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a healthcare leadership role;
  • Strong leadership skills to support and provide direction to staff in a highly stressful and rapidly changing environment;
  • Proven ability in working effectively with all members of health care team.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of concentration in a busy working environment.
  • Knowledge of budgeting process.
  • Knowledge and application of various technologies.
  • Knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures, relative legislation, collective agreements. Canadian Hospital Association Standards, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Nursing Practice, nursing theories and a research based professional role;
  • Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient care;

You will stand out with

  • Masters Degree in a regulated Health Profession, Health Administration or a related field and Professional designation or equivalent;
  • Previous critical care experience;
  • Previous Cardiac Surgery/Cardiology experience;
  • Previous Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology/Operating Room experience.
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
