Salary Range

$128,971.050 to $156,908.700/year

Position Information

The Clinical Administrator On-Site provides administrative leadership and expert clinical support to staff across all campuses throughout the organization during evenings, nights, weekends, statutory holidays, and other days as required.

The role is responsible for the security of patients and safety of staff, providing support for complex patients or situations, and crisis management/counseling for patients and families. This role will also provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on processes and controls, including initiation and coordination of hospital codes and disaster responses. Additionally, this role will execute operational duties that include bed management, patient flow, staff oversight, discipline, and cost containment through responsible staff utilization/strategic movement to high volume, high acuity areas, as needed.

The Clinical Administrator On Site applies learning and accountability consistent with a just culture, providing staff with written instruction on safety precautions where appropriate, ensuring that staff adhere to standards of safe work and patient care, and closing the loop on staff and patient safety issues to ensure continuous improvement.

What you will bring

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing;
  • Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse;
  • Five (5) years’ recent experience in the areas of in cardiac care (cardiology and or/cardiac surgery) and/or intensive care;
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced and acute clinical environment
  • Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to apply this in a clinical setting;
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, in oral and written formats, with patients, public, staff, colleagues and members of other health disciplines;
  • Demonstrates a productive approach to conflict resolution;
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify issues, establish priorities and resolve problems;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and participation in the evaluation process;
  • Demonstrates a professional and respectful attitude towards patients, the public and colleagues;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement;
  • Demonstrates the ability to coordinate work and to participate effectively as a member of the health-care team;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

You will stand out with

  • Master of Nursing, Health Administration or other related field of study;
  • Member of the RNAO and/or other related professional groups or associations;
  • Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
