Mary Traversy

After 35 years at Canada Post, Mary Traversy retired in 2019, having spent her last years as the Chief Operating Officer. As the COO, Mary was responsible for 50,000 employees, a $5B budget, and all aspects of the collection, processing and delivery of mail and parcels. During her tenure at Canada Post, Mary held positions in Operations, Human Resources, Labour Relations, led transformational projects and sat on the boards of subsidiaries, Purolator and Innovapost. Since retiring, Mary has joined the Board of Governors at York University and the Ottawa Hospital, as well as the Board of Directors at Cargojet and FleetOptics.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from Carleton University, completed the ICD-Rotman Director Education Program, and was recognized as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women.

Appointed in 2022 until 2026.
