Janet Graham

Janet Graham is a deeply experienced nursing leader whose career at The Ottawa Hospital spans more than 3 decades. As the Chief Nursing Executive and Executive Director of Medical Care, she provides executive leadership across general medicine, medicine subspecialities and professional practice systems-driving strategic initiatives in quality of care, patient safety, education, and nursing professional development.
Over her tenure at the Hospital, Janet has held a wide variety of roles from bedside nursing to clinical research, advanced practice nursing, clinical director of a wide variety of clinical programs, and both regional and provincial leadership positions.
Her diverse clinical portfolio includes significant expertise in Nephrology having served as Regional Director of Nephrology and Transplant Services for more than 10 years, playing a pivotal role in care for patients living with chronic kidney disease.
Janet is highly regarded as a lifelong learner and advocate. She has led teams at the regional, provincial, and national levels-including as Chair of the Canadian Association of Nephrology Administrators-to promote excellence in care, innovation, and system-level improvements for vulnerable patient populations.
Under her leadership, nursing at The Ottawa Hospital is inspired by compassion, clinical excellence, and a commitment to growth.
