Know what to do if someone has uncontrolled bleeding—and help save their life.
StopTheBleed® a free, 90-minute hands-on training course that teaches ordinary people how to respond quickly and effectively in a bleeding emergency. Our goal is to empower participants with simple techniques to help save lives.
Participants learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, apply proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use their hands, dressings and a tourniquet.
The training is designed for anyone—no medical background required—and is offered by Ottawa Regional Trauma Program at The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.
Did you know?
Victims can quickly die from uncontrolled bleeding, typically within five to ten minutes.
