The Regional Trauma Network

The Regional Trauma Network (RTN) supports trauma care across the Champlain LHIN. Led by The Ottawa Hospital, the region’s designated trauma centre, the RTN brings together hospitals, EMS, Ornge and other partners to improve trauma care through shared responsibility and collaboration.

Using a “hub and spoke” model, The Ottawa Hospital acts as the central hub, working with surrounding hospitals to strengthen care. The network focuses on improving communication, education, referral practices and quality of care across the region.
