Update on repairs at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre

Our teams continue to work on repairing damage caused by the flooding at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre (IGFCC) after the storm on July 1. Repairs are expected to last several months. We are working to ensure that there are minimal impacts on patient care during this time.

Some care areas have been relocated, and signs are in place to direct patients and staff appropriately.

The care areas at the IGFCC most impacted are:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Oncology Clinics

Other impacted areas:

  • Medical Day Care Unit – General Campus (some chemotherapy appointments have been moved there)
  • Medical Day Care Unit – Civic Campus (some of the non-cancer appointments typically held at the General Campus are being moved to the Civic Campus)

Appointments are being reviewed on a patient-by-patient basis. Patients whose appointments or treatments are affected will be contacted directly by their care team with the next steps. Unless instructed otherwise, patients should continue to come to their scheduled appointments.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we respond to this situation.
