Our team treats both men and women for issues involving the kidneys, bladder, prostate, urethra and related organs.
The Division of Urology (Urological Surgery) is a surgical Division within the Department of Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital.
We have a fully integrated program that combines clinical care, research and teaching. Thirteen surgeons treat around 40,000 patients each year across all sub-specialty areas of urology.

Emergency urology care
Assessment and treatment for urgent urological issues referred from the Emergency Department.
Urological cancer care
Diagnosis and surgical treatment for cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate and other urinary organs.
Kidney stone management
Medical and surgical options for treating kidney stones, including shock wave therapy.
Minimally invasive surgery
Procedures using small incisions to treat urinary and reproductive conditions with faster recovery times.
Urinary incontinence and reconstruction
Care for complex urinary issues, including reconstructive surgery and support for bladder control problems.
Kidney transplant surgery
Surgical support for patients receiving kidney transplants.
Male sexual and reproductive health
Treatment for erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and male infertility.
Referrals
All patients must be referred by your family physician or other specialist physician.
