Overview
The Division of Vascular Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital provides care for patients with conditions affecting arteries, veins and lymphatic vessels.
Our team specializes in treating a wide range of vascular conditions, including those affecting the brain, chest, abdomen and limbs. We also provide long-term vascular access for patients receiving dialysis.
Care is based at the Civic Campus, where we offer both traditional and minimally invasive procedures. Patients also benefit from advanced diagnostic testing through our accredited Vascular Diagnostic Centre.
We serve people across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, and we also support patients from Western Quebec and Eastern Canada.
The Vascular Surgery Clinic
The Vascular Surgery Clinic at The Ottawa Hospital provides care for patients with conditions affecting blood vessels, including arteries and veins. Patients are seen for assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning by vascular specialists.
The clinic supports care for a wide range of vascular issues, such as poor circulation, aneurysms and blood clots. It also helps manage long-term needs like vascular access for dialysis.
The Vascular Diagnostic Centre
The Vascular Diagnostic Centre at The Ottawa Hospital helps identify and monitor conditions affecting blood vessels. Located at the Civic Campus, the Centre provides non-invasive testing for arterial and venous diseases using advanced imaging technology.
All tests are performed by trained vascular sonographers and reviewed by vascular surgeons. While staff are available to answer questions, test results are sent directly to the referring physician within 72 hours.
The Centre serves patients across Eastern Ontario and offers bilingual services. It also supports ongoing research and education to improve vascular care and patient outcomes.
Referrals
All patients need to be referred by a physician.
