Overview
Delivering world-class care to injured workers closer to home.
The Ontario Workers Network (OWN) is a provincial network of hospitals and experienced care providers that strives to provide world-class care for workers in their own communities.
As one of the largest service providers of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), OWN is connected by technology and shared learning. The network allows for collaborative care for injured workers, ensuring we get workers back to work in a timely and safe manner by providing care closer to home.
The Ottawa Hospital serves two roles in OWN: administrative lead of the network and flagship service provider
Team
Our experienced team consists of physicians, specialty surgeons, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychologists and other care providers who work to the highest standards of practice and deliver specialized care to injured workers.

Information for referring physicians
OWN is a service provider of WSIB and cannot initiate new WSIB claims. If you have a patient’s work-related injury to report, please submit the required forms to WSIB to initiate the claim. WSIB will then refer the patient to the appropriate service provider to treat your patient.
