Multi Care Kidney Clinic

Overview

The Multi Care Kidney Clinic (formerly called the Progressive Renal Insufficiency or PRI Clinic) is a specialty clinic for people with advanced chronic kidney disease.

More than 600 patients receive care through this clinic.

Services

We offer education, counselling, dietary advice, and nephrology care. We focus on slowing progression of kidney disease, managing complications, and preparing patients for renal replacement therapy, such as kidney transplantation or dialysis (peritoneal or hemodialysis).

We also provide support for patients who need to decide about doing dialysis at home or in the hospital, and for patients who are considering choosing conservative (non-dialysis) care.

Support for conservative kidney management

For patients choosing conservative (non‑dialysis) kidney care, we work with palliative care colleagues to improve symptom management and support quality of life.
