Tony Sottile is a Professional Engineer who has worked in the mechanical contracting industry since 1984.  After graduating from the Mechanical Engineering program at Carleton University in Ottawa, Tony began his career as a Project Manager in 1984. During his career Tony has gained experience in various commercial and institutional construction sectors such as health care, data centers, high rise commercial buildings, education and laboratories.

After 32 years in the construction industry, Tony retired from the mechanical contracting industry having most recently served as CEO of a major Canadian mechanical contracting firm.  As CEO Tony led the team through a sustained period of substantial growth which included geographic expansion as well as the acquisition of five new operating companies.  The organization was recognized as a Platinum recipient of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

Tony has served as the Chairman of the Ottawa Construction Association (OCA), as well as Chairman of the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Ottawa and the Canadian Mechanical Contractors Education Foundation (CMCEF).  Tony is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and a member of ASHRAE.

Tony is spending his retirement volunteering and leveraging his management and general business experience to help companies grow and achieve operational excellence.  He stays balanced by travelling with his family, skiing, bicycling and playing hockey.

Appointed in 2016 until 2025.
