Cameron was unanimously appointed by the board<a> <\/a>after a comprehensive search that was international in scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cameron has already dedicated much of his life to making The Ottawa Hospital one of the best health-care institutions in the country. In an impressive career that has spanned more than 20 years with the organization, he has shown strong leadership and an unwavering commitment to &nbsp;the mandate of the hospital &nbsp;to pursue excellence in patient care, research and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to becoming CEO, Cameron served as the hospital\u2019s Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, giving him an unparalleled understanding of the hospital\u2019s &nbsp;strategic priorities and its day-to-day operations. &nbsp;He has held several other leadership roles within the hospital, including oversight of the planning and building of the Critical Care Wing at the General Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Cameron will now oversee the TOH team in the development and construction of a new 21<sup>st<\/sup>-century hospital campus to replace the Civic site.&nbsp; This will be one of the biggest infrastructure projects in the history of the Nation\u2019s Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cameron has shown an exceptional ability to motivate and inspire teams under the common vision of providing each patient with the world-class care, exceptional service and compassion that we would want for a loved one. &nbsp;He has the full confidence of the board and will continue to motivate and inspire the leadership team and hospital staff to deliver on that vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we welcome Cameron, we know that health care in Ottawa and the region is in excellent hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read Cameron Love\u2019s <a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/our-leadership-team\/senior-management-team\/cameron-love\/\">biography<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ottawa Hospital Board of Governors is delighted to welcome Cameron Love as the hospital\u2019s new President and CEO.
