Hospital recognized with Hire Immigrants Ottawa <\/em>Employer Excellence Award and National Capital\nRegion\u2019s Top Employer Award<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

OTTAWA \u2013 (March\n12, 2019) \u2013<\/strong> The Ottawa Hospital has been recognized\nfor its work in helping new Canadians find meaningful employment, along with providing\na competitive, supportive and collaborative work environment for all staff. The\nhospital received the Employer Excellence Award from Hire Immigrants Ottawa<\/em>, as well as the National Capital Region\u2019s Top Employers<\/em> Award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Employer Excellence Awards from Hire Immigrants Ottawa <\/em>recognizes local\nemployers for their innovative workplace policies and practices around the\nrecruitment and integration of skilled immigrant employees into their\norganization. The\nOttawa Hospital officially received the award<\/a> today at the Employer Council\nof Champions Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOttawa\u2019s diversity enriches our community, broadens\nour horizons and inspires the city to think globally,\u201d said Renee Legare,\nExecutive Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. \u201cIt is important\nthat our staff reflects the diversity of the community we serve. We are honored to once again\nreceive the Employer Excellence Award.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National\nCapital Region\u2019s Top Employers<\/em> is an annual competition, organized\nby the editors of Canada\u2019s Top 100 Employers. The award recognizes employers in\nthe Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area that offer an exceptional place to work\nand the most progressive programs compared to other organizations in their\nfield. The Ottawa\nHospital was recognized for its commitment to staff health and wellness,\ndedication towards career development and education, and assistance in\nretirement planning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
