Macdonald Parkway. Full access will be available for motorists, transit users, cyclists and pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p>This extension has been put in place to provide an alternate route through LeBreton Flats during the closure of Booth Street for construction activities related to the Confederation Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.<\/p>\n<p>During construction, the Preston Street extension will provide an alternate route to connect Albert Street to the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway and the Chaudi\u00e8re Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>A multi-use pathway along the east side of the Preston Street extension will offer cyclists and pedestrians a connection between the Albert Street multi-use pathway and the Ottawa River Pathway\/Trans Canada Trail.<\/p>\n<p>While the Transitway will remain open, LeBreton Station will move east from Booth Street to the new Preston Street intersection.
