\"TOHJune 26, 2013<\/strong> \u2013 The Ottawa Hospital has launched its 2012-13 report to the community at the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Governors.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s annual report features leading clinician-scientists. Through their innovative research, they have made a positive difference in the health of some of our community\u2019s most vulnerable patients: teenage mothers<\/a>, cancer patients<\/a> and the critically ill<\/a>. The report also features some of the clinicians and scientists who have recently been recruited to The Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. They explain why they chose Ottawa<\/a> as the place where they want to make a difference.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat things happen when highly specialized health-care professionals, skilled support workers, dedicated volunteers, and talented researchers work collaboratively,\u201d said Dr. Jack Kitts, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital. \u201cNot only do they provide excellent and compassionate care to our patients, but they push the envelope and seek new solutions, new approaches and better treatments.\u201d<\/p>\n
