The Vascular Diagnostic Centre provides physicians and clinicians with important information on the presence and severity of peripheral vascular disease in those patients referred for testing. The Centre has been accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) since 1993.<\/p>\n
The Centre serves the population of Eastern Ontario and offers bilingual services for a full range of non-invasive peripheral arterial and venous diagnostic examinations. Our state-of-the-art Vascular Diagnostic Centre opened at the Civic Campus in 2003.<\/p>\n
All diagnostic examinations are performed by Registered Vascular Sonographers or training students under the direct supervision of a qualified vascular Sonographer. All cases are reviewed and reported by a qualified Vascular Surgeon. It is our goal to provide timely, efficient, accurate and compassionate care to all patients visiting our facility.<\/p>\n
Diagnostic staff are always available to answer questions or concerns during all hours of operation. Diagnostic test results are only provided to referring Physicians and diagnostic staff are unable to provide examination results to their patients as a matter of professional ethics. Our normal reporting time is 72 hours from examination time to report receipt by the referring Physician.<\/p>\n
The Centre is actively involved in clinical evaluation, patient screening programs, disease progression follow-up, post-operative patient monitoring, education and research.<\/p>\n
