Our clinic provides both consultations and on-going prenatal care to women with high-risk pregnancies. It also provides pre-pregnancy consultations to women who have medical problems or have had difficult pregnancies, in order to assist them in deciding about a future pregnancy.\u00a0Our approach to care includes a multidisciplinary team of perinatologists, specialized nurses, sonographers, a dietitian, a social worker and a psychologist.<\/p>\n
The High-Risk Clinic is a teaching clinic and you may be seen by a number of different levels of medical personnel. These individuals should identify their level of training to you as follows:<\/p>\n
A Staff physician, who provides supervision and allocates responsibilities for the medical personnel according to their level of training, is present in every clinic.\u00a0 The Staff Physician may not see all patients at every appointment.\u00a0 If at any time you would like to speak personally to the Staff physician about your care, please do not hesitate to ask.<\/p>\n
