Surgeries requiring a local anesthetic are conducted within the clinic and are well-supported by ongoing patient education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mondays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesdays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 4: 00 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesdays \u2013 1:00 pm \u2013 3:00 p.m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phototherapy and Psoriasis Clinic (Dermatologist referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultraviolet light (UVB or UVA) is used 3-6 times per week to treat several resistant skin disorders including psoriasis, eczema, pruritus and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, Adjuvant topical therapies are discussed and there is intensive counselling and support from our phototherapy nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treatment Days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays \u2013 6:30 a.m. \u2013 2:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thursday \u2013 8:00 a.m. \u2013 12:00 p.m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mohs Surgery Clinic &#8211; (Physician Referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohs micrographic surgery is a specialized and highly effective procedure for treating common types of skin cancer.&nbsp; Mohs surgery is most commonly used to treat basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell of skin on a patient from the neck up to the head.&nbsp; Certain melanomas and other skin cancers can also be treated with Mohs surgery.&nbsp; Mosh surgery provides very high cure rates with minimal loss of normal tissue.&nbsp; It is all performed under local anesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mondays \u2013 Fridays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 p.m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact Dermatology \/Patch Testing Clinic\u2013 (Physician Referrals Only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Patients are assessed and standardized patches of different allergens are applied directly to patients to obtain a diagnosis for the treatment of contact allergies.&nbsp; The patient should bring all personal care items including cosmetics and any clothing that may be causing an allergic reaction to the first appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mondays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesdays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 12:00 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fridays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 12:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pigmented Lesion Derm Clinic \u2013 (Dermatologist referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pigmented Lesion Clinic has as its principal goals the detection of malignant melanoma in its early, curable, phase in high-risk patients.&nbsp; Patients are referred to this clinic for melanoma screening and the assessment and management of complicated pigmented lesions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic Days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thursdays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 12:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancer Clinic \u2013 Dermatology \u2013 TOH \u2013 General Campus \u2013 Module A<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialty clinic for the treatment and diagnosis of skin cancer.&nbsp; Referrals are required from family physicians, dermatologists or sub-speciality physicians.&nbsp; Direct patient bookings are not accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thursdays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 12:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Vulvar Derm Clinic &#8211; _(Physician Referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vulvar Dermatology Clinic assesses and manages people with acute and chronic vulvar skin conditions or lesions.&nbsp;&nbsp; Vulvar diseases can present with a range of signs and symptoms including itch, pain, bleeding and burning.&nbsp; Some of the conditions diagnosed and treated in the clinic include lichen sclerosis, lichen planus, psoriasis, eczema and various types of skin cancer.&nbsp; The clinic also serves as an education centre for medical students, residents and fellows to learn more about treating vulvar skin conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic Days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Every 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Thursday \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 12:00 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Rapid Access Derm Clinic \u2013 (Physician Referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This clinic runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rapid Access Dermatology Clinic tries to address the need for a timely diagnostic clarification or treatment advice of a skin condition.\u00a0 It does not provide follow-up care to facilitate patient flow through the clinic.\u00a0 The common conditions treated or diagnosed in the clinic include skin cancers, severe eczema and psoriasis, blistering skin conditions, vasculitis and other acute conditions.\u00a0 The clinic also provides training in skin diseases for medical students, residents and fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Referrals<\/strong>: <a href=\"\/en\/documents\/2025\/09\/the-rapid-access-derm-clinic-referral-form.pdf\/\">The Rapid Access Derm Clinic Referral Form<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinic days:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tuesdays and Wednesdays \u2013 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Skin of Colour Derm Clinic \u2013 (Physician Referrals only) \u2013 Civic Campus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Skin of Colour Dermatology Clinic focuses on improving access to care and providing up-to-date treatments for patients with non-Caucasian skin types.
