Their clinics provide primary care for the elderly, children, pregnant mothers, teenagers as well as the general population.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/cancer-program\/\">Cancer Program<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Program is a comprehensive cancer program serving the population from Deep River to Hawkesbury and down to Cornwall. As the \u201chub\u201d of this Regional Cancer Program, our staff and physicians oversee the delivery and quality of cancer services regardless of where patients receive their care in our region. When possible, our goal is to provide care close to home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/eye-institute\/\">Eye Institute<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The University of Ottawa Eye Institute is a world-class facility recognized internationally for excellence in patient eye care. It is a major clinical, teaching and research centre in Canada for ophthalmology with over 28 full-time and part-time ophthalmologists and six PhDs. It is part of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, and is located at General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"toh-row-content\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/epilepsy\/\">Epilepsy Program<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ottawa Hospital Adult Epilepsy Program is one of the four core pillars of the Ottawa Epilepsy Program and currently operates as a district epilepsy center according to the Ontario Epilepsy Strategy. We currently provide access to specialized epilepsy care, as well as neurodiagnostic evaluations, neuropsychological services, and noninvasive evaluations for epilepsy surgeries. We have a two-bed inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) to help diagnose epilepsies resistant to medications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/foustanellas-endocrine-diabetes-centre\/\">Foustanellas Endocrine and Diabetes Centre<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>This centre, located at the Riverside Campus of The Ottawa Hospital, provides specialized bilingual, inpatient and outpatient care to patients and families who experience a variety of endocrine and metabolic conditions such as diabetes, lipid disorders, thyroid disease, including thyroid cancer, disorders of the parathyroid glands, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawaheart.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heart Institute<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is Canada\u2019s largest and foremost cardiovascular health centre dedicated to understanding, treating, and preventing heart disease. It delivers high-tech care with a personal touch, shaping the way cardiovascular medicine is practiced, and revolutionizing cardiac treatment and understanding. It\u2019s staff build knowledge through research and translate discoveries into advanced care.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"toh-row-content\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/kidney-donation\/\">Kidney Donation<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ottawa Hospital has a well-established living kidney donation program. Over the past few years, we have seen more and more living kidney transplants. In Canada, there are more living donors than deceased donors. Even though more living donor transplants have been done in Ottawa and across Canada in the past few years, there is still a shortage of kidneys for patients on the waitlist. Because of this shortage, people die every year while waiting for a kidney transplant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/ontario-workers-network\/\">Ontario Workers Network (OWN)<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ontario Workers Network (OWN) is a provincial network of hospitals and experienced care providers that strives to provide world-class care for workers in their own communities. Headquartered at TOH, OWN is one of the largest service providers of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and through our experienced multidisciplinary team, we are committed to delivering specialized care to injured workers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/shirley-e-greenberg-womens-health-centre\/\">Shirley E. Greenberg Women\u2019s Health Centre<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Centre is part of The Ottawa Hospital\u2019s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Newborn Care. Located on the 7th floor of the Riverside Campus, the center opened its doors in January 2005, and fulfils the vision of The Ottawa Hospital in its commitment to provision of state of the art clinical care, education and research in partnership with the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"toh-row-content\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/departments\/rehabilitation-centre\/\">The Rehabilitation Centre<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre (TOHRC) specializes in the physical rehabilitation of people who have experienced a disabling physical illness or injury. TOHRC provides inpatient and outpatient services for the assessment and treatment of people who have impairments such as: amputations, spinal cord injuries, strokes, lung disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, and communication disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/sexual-assault-and-partner-abuse-care-program\/\">The Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Program<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>It is made up of a team of specialized health professionals who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the Greater Ottawa Area. They provide private and confidential acute medical care to women and men 16 years of age and older who have experienced sexual assault or intimate partner violence within 90 days. As well we provide comprehensive follow up care for our clients for up to three months following the initial visit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-6 col-md-4 mb-4\">\n<div class=\"toh-card h-100\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-inner\">\n<div class=\"toh-card-body\">\n<h5 class=\"toh-card-title\"><a href=\"\/en\/clinical-services\/deptpgrmcs\/programs\/long-term-ventilation-provincial-pilot-project\/\">Long-Term Ventilation Provincial Pilot Project<\/a><\/h5>\n<div class=\"toh-card-text\">\n<p>The Ottawa Hospital and the CANVent Program are working with the Ministry of Health and several other hospitals on a three-year pilot project to improve the clinical transitions and quality of life for patients who require long-term ventilation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Academic Family Health Team The Academic Family Health Team is a group of health-care professionals working together as a team for the benefit of their patients.
