This type of response allows these individuals to remain safe in the community, providing the right care when and where they need it. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MWRT also provides an opportunity for referral to TOH\u2019s Mobile Crisis Team (MCT), which links patients to the community Crisis Bed Program.&nbsp; This voluntary, community-based alternative for people experiencing mental health crises who do not require inpatient hospitalization, but who would benefit from access to temporary accommodation in a supportive environment, provides individuals with an opportunity to initiate steps to resolve their crisis through problem solving, symptom stabilization, and links to community supports.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through Mental Well-Being Response Team (MWRT), callers to 9-1-1 experiencing a mental health issue may receive a medical assessment by a paramedic and a mental health assessment by a mental health professional who can provide resource referrals, a care plan, and arrange for follow-up mental health care.
